A school is a professional services organisation providing a diverse and targeted range of services to meet the specific requirements of each member of our respective communities. Increasingly schools require access to specialist networks beyond existing physical and logical boundaries to maintain relevance to the services they provide. Forming loosely coupled ‘Just in Time’ relationships via Group Forming Networks (GFN) (Reed; 2000) is the next step in what is a natural evolution of services underpinned by information and communication technologies in schools.
There are always a range of emerging and disruptive technologies on the horizon.

Which of these are pertinent to a school environment and how do we identify the value and relevance they will bring to our respective schools.
